| about that last post--i forgot to mention i got $500 for her. so, yes, there has been some positive to the situation. one week ago, i thought i couldnt possibly get more than $300 from a recycler. when those plans fell through, i turned to craigslist. just a few hours got me almost 30 interested buyers! crazy!

| normally, i wouldnt be the type of person to do something like this on here (xanga). in fact, i promised myself i would try to stay private about this. whatever.
to be honest, i kinda knew this day was coming. still, you can never be prepared for something like this. a deep, meaningful relationship that ive had for almost 3 years suddenly ended today. this isnt some temporary thing either. shes gone from my life, and i think there is 0% chance of her coming back. after it was done, i stood there and waited for her to leave. she wouldnt. she sat there 20 feet away, her back to me. every additional second i spent watching her was the worst second of my life. i couldnt take it any more, and i left without looking back.
i know her life isnt over. its just over with me. im sad beyond words, but i truly hope that her life goes on and that she can make somebody as happy as she made me.

| later (earlier?) update:
i dont know if you guys have access to ruckus, but its a service/program that allows you download music for free if your university (or you?) has paid for it. i didnt bother to download it before because the files are DRM protected and you cant transfer them to an ipod or cd. that is, until gene spends 5 hours (on the eve of a test) figuring out how to use a program i sent him for stripping drm's. thanks, gene! i usually use bittorrent, but ive been too paranoid of tech people catching me again. i dont want to lose internet access.
point is, i downloaded ruckus yesterday, and ive been pretty productive adding albums to my library. heres what ive done so far:
neil young - on the beach neil young - harvest moon neil young - zuma the band - the band the band - music from big pink the rolling stones - sticky fingers the beach boys - pet sounds the clash - london calling iggy pop - the idiot the stooges - raw power david bowie - station to station david bowie - rise and fall of ziggy stardust the sex pistols - never mind the bullocks... talking heads - remain in light notorious b.i.g. - ready to die the cure - boys dont cry (this ones for you, pat) nick drake - pink moon nick drake - bryter layter mos def - the new danger
not bad, i think. anyways, the point of this post is that i want some recommendations from out there. what are your favorite albums? what are some great albums that i probably wouldnt have? you can get some idea what my tastes are from the list above, but to make it more clear, my favorites are probably bob dylan, the beatles, neil young, pink floyd, and dido (ha). unless i already hate it, im pretty much open to anything. lay it on me, bitches. im serious about the "album" part of my request though--no song recommendations!

| since i have a lot of work right now, i figure its a good time to update all yous guys on my thrilling life. first things first, i guess i should let you know how the wagers ended.
i dont remember everything 100%, but i think my reports are accurate...
over/under on classes attended wednesday (of 3): 1 (+120 odds on the over, -200 under) over. i went to at least 1 and a half. my parents sent me $500 because they were so proud of me.
over/under hours of sleep wednesday night* (test and HW due thursday): 3 (even) under. around 1 hour. many nights like this might have something to do with me being sick for about 3 weeks in january/february.
over/under on avg of test grades from this thursday and friday: 75 (+110 over, -140 under) over. i got a D and an A. averaged out to an eighty something.
over/under on beers consumed friday night: 8 (-200 over, +110 under) over. stupid if you took the under.
over/under price of case of beer consumed this weekend**: $14 (+200 over, -300 under) over. even though i drank some natty, i bought a 12 pack of harp and that catapulted my average spending to over $14 per 24 beer.
will i purchase a valentines day gift before valentines day? (yes +150, no -175) this ones a push. i ordered something online, and im pretty sure i ordered it before valentines day, but it definitely didnt come until after. in case you were wondering, i ordered a rabbit.
will i make a reservation for a restaurant for valentines day? (yes even, no -140) yes. spoon--a thai restaurant. pretty good...if you dont hate everything asian (not me).
will i purchase a gift AND make a reservation for valentines day? (yes +400, no -300) push (it real good?)
*night defined as any time before first class at noon thursday **price may be extrapolated from left-over beers and current market price
well, that was boring.
spring break is next week. that should be...average. i might go camping, but no boobfilled beach/skiing trips for me. thats okay though. of course id love to go somewhere cool (especially skiing...on boobs), but im happy just to have a break from all these tests and homeworks. i plan to mix it up next week: camp, spend some time at home, go to athens, hang/ball/booze at tech, and procreate. hopefully i wont be too limited by my deep vein thrombosis.
last 2/3 of march + first 1/3 of april (the next 4 weeks) is a great month for sports. we have march madness (notice?), NBA playoffs looming, MLB starting (nothing quite like opening day for your favorite baseball team), but, sadly, no football. the only competition is the october/november split (NFL kickin', MLB playoffs, NBA starting, college football thriving). the latter period would be better if all braves related happiness was not quickly crushed by hrbek, sheffield, reeksma, brad fucking ausmus, or, worst of all, prematurely by the muts. as it stands now, i could not be more excited about the jackets in the big dance and the braves starting soon. tech is a really fucking good team if they want to be. if they play to their potential, i cant wait to see them go on a run (they will). if they dont play to their potential, avoid me for a few weeks. and if you thought any of you were upset about the braves' streak ending last year, all indications are that the players are 1000 times more pissed than you. im loving the chip-on-the-shoulder, pissed off attitude many of the braves have. this season is going to be a dirty, angry battle, and i cant fucking wait.
ok, back to work. i sure hope i dont sleep through all my classes today. i really hate school right now...this is depressing...must...change...subject...
when it comes to xanga updates, i dont do them because i dont think i have anything to say. strangely, whenever i start writing a (lame, i know) update, i usually have to cut myself off. go figure. i guess meaningless drivel cant be premeditated.
leave me some love, folks.
